Dubai Karaoke is a performance between the artist and audience that creates a sound composition. Participants produce breathing, laughing, crying, screaming and other voice-generated sounds based on the artist's instructions. These sounds are recorded and overlaid on a composition by Spanish composer Sonia Megias. The performance allows participants to participate in and connect with a soundscape devoid of historical,political and cultural connotations of language.
